The medical officer examines Mat Ikhsan's health condition
Mat Ikhsan, believed by his family of passing away more than 1 month ago, appeared at his house on Wednesday morning. The shocking experience attracted the attention of residents in an area where he lives in Boto Lengket, Bujel sub-district, Mojoroto District, Kediri City, East Java.
On March 28, the family along with their neighbors had his body buried at the local public cemetery located in Wonosari. Mat Ikhsan was previously reported died of committing suicide by hanging himself.
His family had been preparing to hold tahlil prayers to commemorate the fortieth day after his death on Sunday before he showed up. At first, Sukemi, Mat Ikhsan's cousin, admitted of not trusting the testimony of Mat Ikhsan's friend, Kliwon, claiming of running across the grandfather with 5 children on Yos Sudarso Street, in Pocanan.
Finally, the family decided to meet Mat Ikhsan on the street. Assured that the man is Mat Ikhsan, the family took him home. Knowing this information, their neighbors flocked their house to see him.
Mat Ikhsan stated that he left his house on purpose as he could not stand facing his family economic burdens. "I did not know what to do when my children got sick," he expressed his concerns.
