A French woman married to her boyfriend who had died after getting permission from President Nicolas Sarkozy. Karen Jumeaux (22), the name of the woman, taking advantage of the obscurity in the French legal loophole by marrying her fiance Anthony Maillot, who died nearly two years in accidents on the highway.
Jumeaux write a letter to French President Nicolas Sarkozy to ask for permission to marry his girlfriend of the deceased. The request was granted because Jumeaux Sarkozy can prove that they are already planning to get married.
They met in 2007 and has a baby boy in 2009, some time before death Maillot at the age of 20 years.
Jumeaux wearing a white dress when she married, witnessed by family and friends at a ceremony held at City Hall Dizy-le-Gros, eastern France, on 23 June. The wedding ceremony is completed, Jumeaux said, "He (Maillot) my first love and the only one and we were together for four years. We hope to raise our kids together. I never want to do it alone, but fate decided vice versa. Now my wife and I will always love him. "
A French legal expert said that if Mrs Maillot met another man and wanted to marry him, he now needs a divorce. The expert added: "However, it should be a fairly simple procedure." In February this year another French woman, Christelle Demichel, aged 35, also married his girlfriend who has died, is a former policeman who was killed in an accident caused due to a drunk driver in September 2002.
